Q1: What is the difference between the SM-8810 and the SM-2000 ?

Q2: When do I need a booster ?

What is the difference between the SM-8810 and the SM-2000?

The SM-2000 is used for testing watches up to 5 bar, the equivalent of 50 m under water. Although the testing process is semi-automatic, it fully complies to standard waterproof requirements (up to 3 bar) and represents an excellent value for money. The SM-8810/N offers higher comfort to the user in terms of testing speed and and functionalities (e.g. automatic pick-up lift, individual programing, pressures from 0.25 - 10 bar). Finally, the SM-8810/V allows testing with vacuum, thereby simulating even tougher conditions.

When do I need a booster ?

A booster is a device that multiply the air input in the Water Resistance Tester in order to test watches under higher pressure conditions. A booster is particularly required for the models SM-8810/20A and SM-8810/30A that are used with a compressor.
